- You don’t have to be a programmer to make a game in Roblox, but if you know how to program there are more possibilities to create an adventure with more complexity.
- The process has certain level of difficulty, it requires patience and time to do it well. Although the Roblox editor facilitates the actions it is necessary that you are disciplined.

Steps to develop your own game in Roblox
The first thing you have to do is download Roblox Studio which is a platform specially created for you to give free rein to your imagination. Once you have installed it on your computer open it and follow the next steps:
- Enter the program with your Roblox account or create a new user.
- In the upper panel, place the tab “Develop” and in that window, place the tab “Places” in the column on the left of the screen and click it. A window will appear with a green button that says “Create new place“.
- Choose one of the predetermined places to start building: a city, an outdoor place with mountains, a water or racing environment, etc. If you want to start from scratch choose “Baseplate”.
- Then choose the tab at the top of the screen that says “Basic Settings“.
- Indicate the name you want to give it, depending on what you want to build. Write a description that is simple, clear and indicates the objective of the game. Select the genre, it can be adventure, fighting, sports, etc. and if it will be public or private.
- Go to the “Access” tab. Here you will determine important aspects like: Types of devices in which you can play, minimum and maximum number of players, who can access, if you want it for free or you want to sell it, for this last option enable only for VIP servers and write the price.
- In advanced configuration you can include many more details related to the genre you selected at the beginning. You must also configure the type of chat you will include.
- Now click on “Create place”.
- Activate your game from the main panel where it should appear.
How to build?
- Once you have created the profile of your creation click on the “Edit” button that appears to the right.
- It will open the panel with all the options to build the scenarios and the tools to incorporate pieces as if it was a set of chips with effects. There are cubes, spheres, corners or cylinders. Every time you place a piece, click on the “Anchor” button. Apply the texture and color.
- In the “Toolbox” button you can add any number of objects and characters.
- You can transform the terrain, it can be desert, mountain or any kind. It is also possible to add water in different ways, sizes and place it where you want.
- You can add effects to the cubes or figures.
- The “Test” tab gives you the possibility to test the progress of your creation. For example, how the character or car is moving along the landscape or path you have created.
